About The Chief Architect
Mr. Wayne L. Atchison is the creator, owner, and chief architect of The Snippet Engine.

Mr. Atchison is a senior software engineer having over 39 years of coding and software management experience. He is a certified ISO software process expert. Mr. Atchison has been involved in every aspect of the software industry, from being an assembly language coder to being a Software Architect, a Lead Programmer, a Chief Technical Consultant, a Quality Control Expert, and a Seminar Instructor.

Mr. Atchison has been the Technical Leader in many significant multi-million dollar projects. Most of the time he was the Technical Leader of projects defining the next level in the 'state-of-the-art'. Many times Mr. Atchison has demonstrated that he has the better technical solution. For example Mr. Atchison has been:
A Primary Consultant producing the world's first real-time interactive Meteorological Workstations (Siemens Germany 1981)
The Software Manager and Technical Lead producing the world's first real-time interactive Radiological Workstations (San Jose, RSNA 1983)
The Lead Consultant producing the world's first interactive Cartographic Workstations (NOAA 1984).
The first to program and commercially sell a Btree++ Database Library for 'C' programmers (Byte Magazine 1985)
A Technical Lead producing the world's first PACS Medical Imaging Mass Storage fiber-optic Star-Network (Siemens Chicago, RSNA 1991)
The first to formally introduce and document the (at that time) radically different methodology of using an "Iterative Approach" to Software Development (San Jose 1989). In 1993 this methodology became the official methodology for Loral Western Development Labs. Currently nearly everyone is using an iterative-style approach to software development.
An officially registered "Certified Software Process Expert" (1993).
The Technical Lead of numerous classified military reconnaissance and target recognition projects. These projects represented the 'state-of-the-art' in the world wide technology arena (1974 - 1997)
